We're coming at you from the swaggiest studios of all the dad's with Swag Studios. This week we are talking, all things, get your family to church. I kind of broke it down. It's kind of like the Ten Commandments. Right. It's kind of like the Ten Commandments of getting your family to church. I got the Ten Commandments of getting your family to church, ten steps of what you can do to get your family to church. Right, if you guys want to talk about any of this episode? And for that one bust out there that gave me a one star, dude through review up there, so I can know what I could do better. Right, everybody, everybody else is giving me much loved man with the five stars, and I appreciate it. But one bust out there throw down a one star. I don't know who that is, but hit me up, let me know. Let me know what I could do better, because I'm always willing to improve this show. If there's something you think I can do better on this show, ill let your boy let me know, because I definitely been be down to try it out. I'm not stuck in my ways. This thing's always a work in progress. So check it out. I broke it down to ten steps, right, because getting your family to church as a man, as a parent, even you know, I got so many female listeners. MOM's out there listening, showing much love. You know, this stuff works for you guys too. So I might say this from the male perspective, but this stuff works for you guys too. So as a parent, as a head of the household, it's important that we set the tone, we set the tenor for the way that our family is going to incorporate God in our lives, and part of that is going to church. So how do you find a good church? Like say, you're like man, you know, like so many people I know out there, it's like, yeah, I want to church. When I was a kid and went to Sunday school, did the caddy kids, I'm thing maybe was in like a youth group. Got Kind of bugged out on it. Was Tired of like people always telling me this is what I should do or shouldn't do, and you know, all these kind of things. So then, you know, once your parents stop forcing you to go to church, then you kind of you know, bounced for a while. You had a relationship with God but you didn't have a relationship with the church and you define things your own way. But now you're like man, I got some kids, I want to get back into this faith thing, right. I want to get back into the church. The church is a whole. The churches a community, you know, and not just be the only word of God that my kids here on a consistent basis. Right, because all the talking that we do to our kids and all the showing that we show our kids, we still have to make sure that we put them in situations that will help them continue our word right, because without that,...

...eventually there's going to be a time where they might tune us out. So we need to make sure that we we make these situations and put them in these environments that are going to prove that what we're saying is correct. So the first thing you want to do right as hit Google right, just like you probably found my podcast, you hit Google right and you googled your network. You googled all your friends. Hey, what church do you go to? You know what's the Cool Church on the street? What's everybody talking about? You know what are the churches around you? What are you know? And if you already got a faith or denomination that your you belong to, that you want to continue to worship that way, then that's a good star right there. You can google that, but if you're not quite sure, you know, hit the Internet, talk to your friends and family. If you don't want to talk to people in your community about where they go to share their faith, then just hit up Google, man. That's it's a great way to just do it from the comfort of your own home and make sure that when you go to these different church websites that the values of the church match your values right, because you don't want to start going to a church where their values are a certain way and your your family philosophy is a different way. Right. Like for me, you know, I love God, I love the church, but I also love homosexuals. I love anybody, can get married, it doesn't matter. Like it. Only God can judge people, Right. So I can't go to like a church that's all judge. That was like, you know, gay bashing and like wasn't. Wasn't accepting of other people's choices in life, right, because at the end of the day, I can't judge that. I just need to love you like I would love myself. Right, I just got to love you like God, like I would want God to love me. I got to love you like I love God. Right. Well, no matter what your beliefs are or what your choices in life are. The only job I got is to love you. That's IT, right. Other than that, it's God's job to judge you. He's the judge in a jury, not me. So I need to make sure that I personally find a church that is conducive with my beliefs right, because I wouldn't, I wouldn't be able to hang out in the church every single Sunday if the pastor's up there talking all doom and gloom and saying, you know, gay people are going to hell and they shouldn't be getting married. And you know, a woman's body isn't her choice. To do with it what she will. You know, it's it's the man's job. But a church's job or a government's job or all they like. That wouldn't work out for me right. I'd be like your wife, I'm about to scrap up and here we ought to go because this, this isn't working out. So I needed affirm me personally. I needed to find a church that was more conducive with my beliefs. Right, my beliefs more open and more accepting. So it's important for you to find a church right that that's more conducive to your needs, because you could be a listener of mine, and you can. You could. Those could be your views to where you're like, nope, God says you shouldn't have if you, if God blesses you, would a baby in your belly, then you need to see that through, right, even if it's through rape or any of these other things you got. If God made that baby, then only God could take that baby away. You know, if you think marriage should only be between a man and a woman, then you know, and you want your church and you want your family and your kids to grow up with that same beliefs, then cool man. You got to find a church that supports your beliefs. Now here's the good news, man. They had like five churches on every corner. They're probably more churches out here then there starbucks out here, right, because we have the right, in the freedom and the ability to believe what we want and to worship how we want and to pray...

...how we want, so we don't have to have anybody telling us what to do or what to say or how to pray. So thank God we're in the United States of America, where we have the freedom of religion. So we got churches all over the place, so you can definitely find a church that will fit your family values. So that's the one thing. The second commandment is to make sure that you go every Sunday. Right, once you and your family decide on the Church and where you want to go and how you want to do it, make sure you guys go every Sunday at least for a few months. Right. You want to make sure you're hitting it every Sunday. You got to create that habit. What do they say? It takes like thirty days to make a habit, or I think it's thirty days to break a habit. Maybe a sixty days to make a habit or something like that. So whatever, however many days it takes to make a habit, and if you know the answer that, hit me up on twitter at your coach, Sawn Yo. Coach. It takes this many days to create a habit, because I, like I said, man, I'm always looking to learn, but check it out. It's so it's going to take you some Sundays, man, some Sundays in a row, to continuously keep going to church. Keep going. Then it's going to get the kids in their mind and and and Wifi or Hubby and they mind saying, Hey, you know what, my spouse or mom or dad, they're not on just a quick little Jesus trip. This is going to stick. You know, this isn't when? When? The when? The when dad was trying to get us to go gluten free? Or this wasn't when mom's was trying to get us to go vegan and it only worked a couple weeks. You know it. You Know Dad was trying to get us to go gluten free till it was Taco Tuesday and then glut one, you know, and he's like, hey, tell some extra gluting on it. But you know it. You got to make sure that it sticks in the family knows that, hey, this is important. You can't miss the Sunday. And if you got company coming into town, bring them with you right, bring them with you. Another important thing. This is, you know, the third commandment in the ten commandments of like getting a family back to churches. Arrive on Tom Right. You wouldn't be late for a job interview, you wouldn't be late for a parent teacher companball. And now let me take that back. Some parents out there would definitely be late for a parent teacher conference. You wouldn't be late for a job interview. You wouldn't be late if you was meeting the president of the United States or the mayor or something like that. Right. You wouldn't be late to your nail appointment. You wouldn't be late to like basketball with the boys. Why would you be late for Jesus? Right, show up one time, maybe even get there a little earlier, because if you get there on time, then it's going to also put in your mind and then your family's mind, Hey, this is a priority. Right. This isn't just like a normal event and everyday thing where our family can show up five, ten minutes late and just stroll in and roll up. No, this must be something special. This must be one of those events every week or an event in our life that is so special that we put it up here on this pedestal. Right, we put it up here so then we know that, man, this is this is most important, and we're going to get there on time. We're going to get there even early. Right, we're going to get there early and we're going to worship Jesus and we're going to go every Sunday. This must be something that's important to my family. This must be something that I need to as a kid. The kids are thinking. This must be something that I should pay attention to. You got to make it a happy place, right, Fellas, Fellas, I know, I know church in the winter is hard. I know it's hard. It's football season, your teams playing. You might miss the first half of the game, you might miss the first quarter. Get up earlier, go to an earlier service. Some churches even have Saturday services. But whatever you do, you have to not bitch about it. You cannot...

...bitch about halving to go to church, on the way to church or before church, about how you're going to miss the game or how you're going to miss this TV show or how the FELLAS are meeting at the farmers market to pick up some fresh berries. Right. You cannot bitch about it. It cannot be a burden to go to church right. It has to be something that is we're lucky enough to live in a place where we can show our and express our faith anyway we want, right, and we get to do that, and so we have to be excited about it. And I know sometimes, fellas and ladies two, I know sometimes it's kind of burdensome right, and on the inside you're going like, Dang, I gotta go to Church again. I really want to do this. I got this baby shower, I got this thing I got to do right. But at least for the first little bit, for the first year, first six months, you don't want to miss any you don't want to miss any services. So just suck it up, go to church and then when church is over, you know you can get back to watching the game. And you know, I go to a hello, cool church, so you might be able to find a church like mine to my church is laid back Luke Church, man, we don't have to like get all three piece suited and booted right there. We go on at my church on Football Sundays, man, you were expected to come in rock in your NFL JERSEY, right, like you're expected. It's like an ex spectation to come in with the Jersey that you support. You know, now, sometimes sometimes I do. I don't always wear Jersey's out all the time, but if I did, and if I was that kind of Fan, like I love my niners, man, I love them, but I don't rock my Montana Jersey all the time. I don't, you know, I don't go out wearing Jersey's all the time, but if I did, definitely would wear it to my church because that's the kind of church that I go to, because that's the kind of dude that I am. Right, I'm not like always a three piece suit kind of guy. I like to be a little bit more casual, a little bit more swaggy. So my church is very conducive to that. And on Super Bowl Sunday, though, super bowl Sunday is everybody is expected to wear a Football Jersey to church, even two kids and everybody. So it makes it kind of fun. So if you found a cool church like that, like if you are a big time nfl dude and you found a church like that, you know, they might not even mind if you like dipped into the men's room and check the score, like, you know, after the second song or something. You know what I'm saying? I don't know just I can't guarantee that, but there might be a church out there. You know that schedules is their services around football Sunday. But whatever you do, man, there's no bitching about missing the big game or missing this event or missing this or that or whatever it is, because you gotta you got to let the family know, hey, it's about Jesus. We're putting this as a priority in our life. And once you put him as the priority in your life, you're going to real lies how much of this small shit just fades away, just melts away at the sides's right. You're going to be like man, me and me and wife. He aren't arguing about money anymore. Me and wife, he ain't arguing about dumb stuff anymore. Wife and I aren't arguing about like what you're doing after work or what you're doing after work, or who's going to do the kids. Are All the stress or all this. You're going to realize that once you put God first and he's at the Topier Pyramid, everything else is just going to slip down. Now, I'm not telling you that it's going to be easy, breezy, lemon squeezy. However, when I am telling you is, once you put your faith in him, it's going to be a lot better. So check it out. This week we get we all the songs I did this week have something to do with God, something to do with Jesus, and my first joint is from my boyfriend the bay. That's Mr e forty, Mr Fons Arelli himself forty water. Let go and let God. I'm this joint. I loved his joint, man, because this is one of them joints. Were Dude as...

Now back to dad's with swag. What's your host, Shawn, up on? So let's do it. What is up? Yeah, welcome back to dad's with swag, coming at you from the swaggiest studios of all the dad's with Swag Studio. Do you ever know? You know sometimes in my family it's hard to get to the store, it's hard to go out there and get the groceries and figure out the menus and all the stuff that you want to eat, and then once you make the meal, then the kids are complaining, Oh, why are we having this? Why are we having that? I have a solution to your challenge. It's worked for my family and I talked about it on bonding with your family on a budget. Hello fresh. We use hello fresh in my family at least two times a week. It stops the kids from complaining because when they're like we don't like this kind of food, we can just be like what an email? Hello fresh, because it's a hello fresh meal. Also gives us the opportunity to wand with our family while we chopping up to the ingredients. Everything's premeasured, predetermined like every all the ingredients is right there. There's no must, no fuss. If you want to start up on hello fresh you they hooked us up with a user code for all the SWAGGY DAD's out there, swag thirty. Use Promo Code Swag thirty and you'll say thirty dollars off your first order of hello fresh. I'm telling you, man, it's awesome. It's legit and we've done a bunch of different like mail order food delivery places, and hello fresh was definitely for the wife, e two kids and me, the best one by far. If you got a good food delivery place to hit me up at your coach and let me know. We'll try it out. You know what I'm saying. I'm not just here throwing out hello fresh because you know I like it. I want you guys to like it too. So use that you Promo Code Man Swag Thirty, say thirty bucks off, and if you got you know you got something that you want me to try, hit me up. I'd be more unhappy to try and if I like it, I reviewed on the show too. I got no loyalties and nobody pay them on mortgage but me. You know what I'm saying? All right, let's see. We're talking the ten commandments of getting the family to church right. Ten things that you can do to help with Nice, smooth transition to get the family back to church, to get to get you start going to church again, to get some Jesus in the household. So another thing that you can do is not just talk about God on Sundays, right. It can't be something that Oh man, daddy gets all preaching on Sundays. You know, it's like he's a different person when we...

...go to church on Sundays. How can we never like pray at meals, or how can we never talks about Jesus or God, but then when Sunday comes now I have to like not go play with my friends so we can go to church. So make sure that, like, God becomes the center of it all at home. To write. And it's not like all the time you're going to be like preaching Jesus and stuff, right, like that's that's that's just not logical. Right. It's not logical to like live your life that way because because it just it doesn't always work out like that. But it is important that you, like, you talked about it more often, right, and and and the kids don't feel shame about talking about God or talking about Jesus or talking about the Bible, and make it kind of more of a fluid thing that that goes on in your household. Right. And I'm cool, like, I guess what? Before I had kids, or I guess not even before I had kids. But when I die, right, we all got we all got few things we want people to remember as by right, and when I die, there are really two things that, since I was a since I was a young man, that I focused on. I want people to remember me by. Now, Wifeie, I love you, Boo, I love you a lot and I hope that I'm an amazing husband. But being an amazing husband didn't make my top too. It didn't like and I try my heartest not do really good. But for me, my top two, and everybody's top two is different, right, and some people got top five, stop whatever. My top to is to be an amazing dad and a man of God, like when I die, that's what I want people to remember me, like when people are like, Hey, you remember that Dude Sean Oh man? Dude was a great dad and a man of God, like. Those are the two things that I want to be remembered by. And of course I want to be remembered for being like philanthropic and I'm being a great husband and a loving, caring person and a nice guy and you know all these other things, but most importantly is being an amazing dad and a man of God. So in my house, like, my kids don't trip if I'm like on the Jesus tip, right, because that's just what daddy does. Like Daddy's got TAT's all over his body that talks about how he loves Jesus, Right. So it's not to them, it's not strange. So for you, if you're just now incorporating this into your family, you want to d strange, a fight it. I don't even know what that word would it be, but just make it not strange in the household. And the only way you can make it not strange in the household is by just bringing it up more often, talking about it more often. Right. It's kind of like that puberty episode I did back in the day. You know, the one way to get more comfortable with puberty is to talk about it more, you know, talk about tampons and all that stuff around the house more. And and when your daughter has you know, when aunt flow comes for the first time, she's not going to be as nervous talking to you about it, right, because you've already started that dialog. So it's kind of the same thing with Jesus and with God. Right, you just got to start talking about it, not just on Sundays. Now. This is this is one of the hardest parts of about it, and I struggle with this every single day, multiple times a day. I am tested on this one, and that's act like a man of God all the time, not just on Sundays. And fellas I know, it is hard. Like, and my kids will even tell you, like daddy loves Jesus, except for when we're in a car, right, because we're in a car and we live in this town. I probably moved to the worst city and of all cities in the whole world to live in, because the speed limit in my city, the maximum speed limit in my city, is thirty miles an hour. Right. So the main Thearo...

...fuel, the main roads through my city are thirty miles an hour and there cops everywhere, there's photo radar everywhere. Most of the roads are twenty five miles an hour. And I know what you're saying. There's a lot of city roads that are twenty five miles an hour, but everybody be going thirty five forty miles an hour, right, and most roads and cities are thirty five, forty five miles an hour and people always be going five hundred and ten miles an hour up above those roads. Not In my town. You go to miles over thirty miles an hour. WHOO, Whoo, whoo, you getting that ticket. No joke, right. So I probably live in the worst city for my driving habits, right, and sometimes I'm not a man of God when I'm in that car. I'm just not. Things come out of my mouth. The stress level rises. You know, my pastor told a great story about one time I because my church and I don't have one of these on much car and I probably won't because of this reason now. But we get we get these stickers right, people put on the back of the CARTI. They're kind of like bumper stickers, but they're like the peel off stickers. And you know, it says my church, name, impact church, all on the back. And my pastor was telling his story. Man, he's driving on a freeway, just coasting in the slow lane, chilling, you know, probably listening to some good Christian rap music, just posting up, and a car like zooms up on his ass and like its honking at them and then like goes around them all aggressive like you know. And Pastors in a slow lane just cruising like they don't need to speed right, and he's in the slow lane. So if you want to go fast, go one of the other lanes and dude like mashes past pastor like flip them off as he goes by and then like cut them off aggressively in the front and like, as he cuts them off, regress lad a front homeboy got a big old impact church sticker on the back of his car. Ah, man, classic move right there, right. And if pastors like, if that dude only knew who I was, how crappy would he feel right now? Right, but that's how I am in a car, like in a car man, I try to be a man of God, but I'm not a man of God and sometimes, out in public, right, sometimes, sometimes something will happen and I'll lose control of a situation for a second and then the stress builds up in an anger kicks in. And these are all things that I'm working on right, they are all things that I'm Jesus died on the cross for these type of things. Right, because I am not perfect. I can never, ever, ever be perfect. No matter how many times I pray before I get into the car, no matter how many times I meditate before I get in a car, nine times out of ten I'm going to do something dumb in the car. Right, I'm going to say a word or get mad or hit the brakes or whatever. It's going to be like, something's going to happen and it's because I'm not perfect. Right. So we can't be perfect, but I can try to be perfect. I can try to act like a man of God all the time and when I make a mistake, I can immediately say Dang, I failed again, but God, I'm will try it again. I'm putting my faith in you and I know you have grace in me that you're going to allow me to try again and you're not going to hold this against me for all eternity. Right, you're not going to hold my actions in this car for all eternity, because I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I honked at that Old Lady going twenty two miles an hour and a thirty mile and hours own right, I'm sorry. I want to be better. So try to act. And I got the word in their try right, because too many times it's like you have to do this or you have to do that, or you have to do this or you have to do that, and that's weak. That is weak sauce right there. But all you can do is try. If you promise me that you're going to try to act like a man of God more often and not just on Sundays, then I'll be happy, because then this will work out right, because the kids are going to think you opposer. Right. How come daddy put on that fancy suit and talk...

...different, act different when he gets the church? You know why he be at Eddie Haskel in it at Church and then as soon as we leave church, he's a different dude. Whips off that you like Superman in a car, whips off the shirt and die got the Football Jersey on. You know, you like you all Raider nationed out right out of church, skeet skirt, get to the TV, yelling at the wife and kids, right, Shuh. The kids are going to call you out on that, right. They're going to know an another thing that you can do, another commandment, is if you guys don't already have if you don't already have a church in mind, right, and you got to find a church that you want to start going to, because you haven't gone in a minute and maybe you don't live at the same church that you grew up in, or maybe you don't even like that church no more because you got some bad habit bad history there, right, and you want to look for a different church. Another cool thing to do is let the kids in on that choice, right, let him in on it now. You could also go out and do all the research and do everything you want to do if you want, and and go find it on your own, and that's cool. You can definitely do that, but it would be kind of cool and kind of fun to let the kids on it say hey, you know what daddy thinks this time, that we start getting our asses to church. And you know, do you guys know any friends that go to church? What church do they go to? You know that and, like I said, have that conversation, because then your friends might be like, Oh yeah, my friend Soandso goes to this church and they you know, and you're going to get some crazy stuff right, like you can have, you know, one kid be like Oh, my friend so and so those Jewish. Let's start going. You know, so their synagoge and you're like Nah, honey, you know, we Christian or we're this, or maybe you are Jewish and you're like hey, cool, or you are Jewish, and the kids like, Oh man, you know, my friend goes to this Mormon temple down the way. Let's go check that out. And so it gives you that opportunity to kind of talk about different religions and be like Yo, you know, we're not Muslim where, you know, Buddhist or whatever whatever religion you might be. It gives you that opportunity to kind of talk about the differences in religions. Because my kids go to this private school, man, where we got all kinds of different religions, like and and it's a very like it's for smart, smart, smart kids, and so we got all kind you know, we got Muslims and Jewish and Hindu's and, you know, Christians and Catholics and you know, we got it all there. So if I were to pose that question of my kids, I could just imagine. You know, actually, my daughter probably be like, yeah, can we become Jewish so I can get a bomb Mitzvah, because she hitting that age man where all the bar and bomb Mitsvas are happening right now. So I know she definitely be down from one of those parties. She be like yeah, let's just let's just convert. Could we just forget the second half of the Bible for now and come back to it later after my big party. So check it out. We about to take my second song and, like I said, this weekend all the songs got to do it faith man, and we got my boy, Big Sean. We doing big things with that blessings joint. I know you guys have heard this. This song has been all over, you know, for years and years, man, this song. Man, if you got those preloaded podcast won't even cause you know, roaming time or nothing. Just play those. It's a great way to pass time. So we're talking to ten commandments of get in the family back to church again, right. We've laid down some good ones. Another one we got is after Church, talk about the likes and dislikes. Right, like it's not. You can't just expect that everybody in the family had the same experience and that everybody thought that this church, especially if you're checking out a new church, that everybody thought this church was like, you know, a hundred percent cool. Talk about the things that the kids learned and that you learned and your wife learned or you know whatever. Just you and your kids. I guess there's some single parents out there too, but just talk about what you guys liked and what you didn't like. You know, maybe the kids are like, man, that youth pastor stinks. You know, man, he dad, he was mean and he just yelled in like through the Bible around and like held a Bible in his hand and pounded it and like it was really scary, daddy like or whatever. Or maybe two kids are like it's really dirty, right. You don't want your kids at a dirty church. Maybe the donuts are stale. You know, I know if I ask my daughter right now, baby girl, well especially my young baby honey, what's your favorite thing about going in back churts, guarantee you first thing out of her mouth as the doughnuts. She's going to say the donuts. I know it that. Like she loves Jesus and she loves people, but that girl loves donuts too. So I know that like the first thing out of her mouth is going to be the donuts and then she'll talk about some of her youth pastors and what she likes about them and how she likes learning about Jesus. But I know fact, no lie, first thing out of her mouth going to be the donuts. And then my oldest daughter, man, we got all we got the sick at youth pastor and of course he's from the Bay right. He's a he's a my he came out to Arizona from the Bay and and man him and to him and his wife. They just love Jesus and they love and still in that passion into young kids lives. So I kind of got a good sense. I'm like what my family would say. But it's important to talk about the likes and dislikes. Like you can't just make sure, you can't just assume that everybody's going to think that it's amazing and it's the best place and it's the best church right. So talk about the likes and the dislikes. And, like I you know, and here's a good segue, because I was just talking about my youth pastor for for for Bella and...

...how amazing he is and what a man of Gott he is and he's just so motivating and and cool. Right, because a lot of a lot of thoughts that we have about Jesus and Church and all that is that it's got to be boring and it's got to be like uncool. But like he brings the coolness to youth group, right, because he's a cool dude and you you can see how kids would want to emulate them. Right. And Isabella definitely like some straight from the jump, because he's from the bay. Anybody from the bay she like. You automatically get like two extra points, you know, in her book because she's like her Daddy. She just loves the BAY. But try to find a youth group friendly church, right, because there's some church. And this is just because you have kids, right, because they're if you're single and you have no kids, then that stuff doesn't really matter. It doesn't apply to you. But it's a lot easier to take two kids to church when they got these fun programs for the kids. Right. Because sometimes wife and I, because wife he grew up a different legend, and sometimes we will go to her family church, the church our family grew up in, and that church is like old school. So when we're like Ao, we're going to this church, and I'm not putting them on blast on this episode, so I'm not going to drop the name. But when we say we're going to this church, they get kind of sad because we're not plugged into that church. The kids don't go to Sunday school at that church. The kids don't like when they when we go to that church, they sit in the Pew with US and they're bored out of their mind and the pastor's cool and we laugh and we get it, but they're bored out of their mind. So whenever we say we're going to that church, like Oh, man, no way. But they know that, like in a family, you got to make sacrifices for other members of the family. And and so they go and they just sit there and you know, you could tell the board out of our mind. And they don't have donuts. So it was pissed from jump. You know, it's not even that. They got like old stale on his say and got no donuts, no pre church or after church snacks at all. So it was already like, screw this place, I'm not going to that church, but make sure, man, if you got a family, make sure they got a family friendly environment, right, because you don't want to have to be pulling teeth and it's school, because there's some Sundays, man. You know, I've been going to church most of my life and they're still some Sundays where I wake up and I'm like man, I don't know if I can make it to church this week, right. And then the kids like, Daddy, we going to church? What time we even for Turck? How come you not dressed for church at Daddy? Daddy, AREN'T WE GOING TO CHURCH? What time we even for Church? How much longer to leave for church? And then you're like fine, let's go. You know what I'm saying, because the kids are excited to get to church. But the only reason my kids are excited to get to church because they know I love Jesus. They know that it's important to me, they know it's important to the family and they have a good time at church. It's something that they enjoy to go to. It's something that they enjoy doing. So make sure that you find yourself a good family friendly church. Another thing is try to meet some new people so everybody in the family can get connected right have your kids try to meet some other kids that go to the church, have your wife try to meet some other wives that go to the church, have your husband try to meet some other husbands that go to the church, you know, because that's a great way to just get connected. And then it's going to hold you accountable, right, because then some of these people that you you know, your church friends, they will be like Yo, where were you at on Sunday, and it's just going to make you want to continue to go back and just get connected and if you can get connected into a small group, whether it's a men's study or a woman's study or a couple's study or, you know, whatever it might be, try to get as connected as you can, because that's going to also help you, you know, hit your goal of con going every Sunday, because you're going to want to see your church homies and then one day your church Homie, like me, my church homies are pretty much just my homies right, like there was a long time before I met Wifei a long time in my life after my divorce where the only friends I had were like nine people that I went to church with, and those were only people average anything with. They were really the only it was.

It was my support system, I tribe, and I was fine with that because I liked that we had something in common. I like that there was amazing people and I love them so much and to this day, like those are still in Arizona. Those are my tight as homies, like I know I can count on any of them for anything, and I've made some new friends and some new you know, through the years. I've gotten out there and made some new friends and some new connections and I know I could count out of those people as well and I love those people as well. But my church group, man, my church homies are just, you know, it's like a one since day one, and you'll get connected and you'll meet these people and some of them are hypocritical and some of them are assholes and some of them are shady, just like any other environment that you put yourself in, and some of them are really nice people, right. So get out. Don't just assume everybody's a hypocrite and everybody's a Bible dumper and nobody drinks or nobody, you know what I'm saying, like they're all squares, like there's some cool ass people at Church and and just open yourself up to meeting some of those cool people and you're going to notice. You would be like, man, there's some real deal Christians out there. Not Everybody's a hypocrite, you know. So get connected. Get the family connected, get the kid. If the kids make some friends at church, then they're going to be excited to go to church because they're going to want to see their little friends. And if your wife makes some friends, and she's going to be excited to go to church because she's going to want to talk to her friends. So try to get everybody connected as much as you can. We about to take our last pregman. We got my boy, Kanye. Jesus walks. You know this jam, this one blew up to man. This is this one was real mainstream, but it's a good song. You know, talks about Jesus and how he just walk, walks with you. Man, Jesus walks with you all the time, seven you know, non stop. He is with you through the good times to the bad times. He is there. You want to hit me up on social media, get at me at your coach Sawn, you could always email me. Sean Shan alfonsocom download my episodes on Itunes subscribery. I view rate the show. I can use all the love I can get. All my old episodes. Go to dad's with wavecom check them out and check this out. Kanye West, Jesus Walks O, Boh, oh, we have we're terism, racism. Most of all, God, show many way, because the devil's trying to break me down. You know what? The Midwest is shunk and restless, restless like snatching necklace. The next day, my check your Lexis somebody teddy, Kanye West. I walk through the Valley of the shower. Death is out. Lord, if you Alanna leave your breathless, try to catch it. kind of hard. So by the texted. Yet I check them back to day, asking a questions, harass and arrest us, saying we mes to like you for breakfast time Alli Pisa. What's the faces win going to wever get suits and chasing on my trump full of wettle car from ape this my Mama used to say. Only Jes to save. But Mama, I know I act there for but I'm going to no member, I got hold to move by guys. Show me away, because the Devi was trying to break me down. The only thing that I pray is that my feet got and I don't think there's nothing I could do not to write my wrong.

I want to talk God, but I'm afraid is God the way, because the devil's Tryna break me down. The only thing that I pray is that my feet don't fail me. Now it's nothing I can do that to write my mind to God, but I'm a UP. So long to the hustlers, killers, murderers, drug killers, even the scripples, to the victims. A well, fat we living inhale here. Hell Yeah, here we want to see the more clear. I know. He hit me with my feet. Get weary because with the almost nearly extinct we rappers, this role models we rap. We don't think. I ain't here the art, you about his face, you features, but here to convert APS into believers. I'm just trying to say the ways who need teachers, the way Catholine needed me, just at the way I need Jesus. So here go, my single doll radio needs this. A ripper by anything except for Jesus. Tell me he's gone sex lives video tape. But if my talk about guy, my racking won't get played. Well, it's the stick away from my spins, which you probably take away from my ends, then I hope it take away from my scenes. That bring the date that I fream about. Next time I'm in the club, everybody screaming out. Guys, show me a way, because well, that was trying to break me down, the only thing that I pray is that my feet don't fail me. Now. Now back to dad's with swag. It's your host shown up as let's do it. What is up? Yeah, Kanye doing things. That was a great jam. I love to give back to charity. Sometimes I find it hard to just cut a big check. I get so busy with the wife and kids. I'm more of a set it and forget it kind of guy. That's why I love the Angel Club. I can pick the amount I want taking out of my checking account every month. I never see the money, so I never missed the money and I can always feel good that, knowing I'm giving back every month. If you want to join the Angel Club, just go to Pierce family found yeah, Pierce Family Foundationcom man, I can't even read today. I got so much love for Jesus up in me. I love this is cool man, the one, the greatest thing about my podcast, especially here at my new studio manners, I get to pick all these cool topics that I want to talk about and family, faith, entrepreneurship are these are the things that, like, just get my heart pumping. You know, whenever I get a client that wants to talk about like finding their perfect mate or, you know, being a better parent or trying to get through a divorce easier or getting, you know, God into their life more, like, my level of excitement just skyrockets right. I'm like yes, like this is going to be like the best three months with this client or the best year with this clown. Like I cannot wait to get in and dig deep with these people and just change their lives and then see the...

...outcome afterwards, because these are the kind of things that, man, I just get so jacked about, get so excited for Jesus, I can't even read write. Ah, but not, man. Go to the Angel Club, Pierce Family Foundationcom join that Angel Club, set it and forget it. You know, man, you can give five, fifty, ten dollars, a hundred dollars a month, whatever you want. You just put it in there. You never got to worry about it. It's cool. I love it. So we're talking the ten commandments of getting your family to church. You know, ten things that you can do to kind of help that transition and it's so important. It's so important to have have God at the top of your family tree and whatever God you believe in. Like I'm Christian and that's kind of like how the show kind of flowed. But I'm here to tell you that if you got friends out of out there that are a different religion or different denomination, tell them to download this show, because this every family can use this. Every family can use this information. Okay, try to meet New People, get connected, try and find a youth friendly church. If you got kids, you want make sure your kids are going to a church the kid friendly. After Church, talk about the likes and dislikes. Would the kids learned? You know, what did they do? And you're going to get a lot of that, just like you get when you pick him up from a school. We didn't do nothing but talk about the pits and the peaks, talk about a man. It's important let the kids on the choice. You know, if you guys are going to look for a new choice, let them in on it. Maybe they got friends or they've heard about a red about a church in the neighborhood. Maybe they saw some flyers and they want to go check out that church. Let him in on the decision making, once again, the hardest one of them all. Try to act like a man of God, not just on Sundays but every day. Right and Keyword, gentlemen and ladies, is the word. Try Try and act like a man of God. and talking about God in the household isn't just for Sundays either. Make sure you talk about God in the household all the time. Make it a happy place. No bitching about missing the football game because you got to go to church on Sunday, no bitching about missing the baby shower because you got to go to church on Sunday. And there's other days that a week that you can go to church, as a lot of churches out there that have Saturday night services. There's a lot of churches out there that have like eight am Saturday, I mean at am Sunday Services or twelve o'clock Sunday services. So you could always change the time that you go to church, but just make sure that you go and when you go, arrive on time. Don't be that late loser that's coming into church ten minutes late. Get there on time, because you wouldn't be late for a job in our view. So why you gonna be late for God? Right, no, because when you die and you go to heaven, you don't want them to be like he yo. Remember all Tumn Times you was late coming to church. Well, now you get to sit here and wait. I'll get back to you now. Make it a priority. Let the kids know this is very important. And when you're first getting back into the GROOVE, man, try to go every Sunday. It's important because it takes that structure and that consistency to start that new habit right. So make sure you go every Sunday and get there on time. And important, important, important is to make sure that the church mission is in alignment with your family mission right. Make sure that you guys have the same values and the same beliefs, because if you're going to a church that doesn't have the same values and the same beliefs as you, then it's not going to help your family at all. It's going to actually be very destructive. So make sure that the church mission and all that information can be found on our website. Make sure that the church mission is in line with your family values and the mission for your family. We out. Thanks for listening to DAD's swag.
